Jurong Junior College (JJ) was the ninth junior college established by the Ministry of Education.
Under the stewardship of its first Principal Mr Koh Beng Thiam, JJ welcomed its first students in April 1981.
It was temporarily housed at West Coast Road, next to Pandan Reservoir, until it moved to its current campus at 800 Corporation Road in 1985.
Since 1986, JJ has progressed under the leadership of three more Principals, namely, Mr V. Govindarrasu, Ms Ching Ah Kim and Mr Koh Yong Chiah.
